Spain
We were featured on WFMS's friends and neighbors podcast. This tells about who we are and what we do.
L'Arcada Camp is the only campground in Spain that is owned and operated by a Christian organization. The camp is located in northwest Spain at the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. The setting is absolutely gorgeous.
The teepees, where campers sleep.
View from the swimming pool and waterslide. Even on a cloudy day it's beautiful.

Why Spain?
Because of Spain’s historical religious background, it is one of the most difficult countries to evangelize. As a history teacher, Kyle would love to teach you the historical reasons.
Here are a few facts about the Spiritual condition of Spain:
Spain is the least reached Spanish speaking country in the world.
Of the 47,431,256 people in Spain, only .07% claim to be evangelical Christians.
There are approximately 4,000 evangelical churches in Spain, but the average size is between 30-40 attendees.
Thousands of cities/towns have no evangelical witness!
L'Arcada camp serves many young people who have never heard the gospel. For those who do grow up in Christian families it is a place where they can fellowship with other believers their own age.
Although historically a Catholic nation, that is no longer the case.
This is the "field" we are trying to replace.
This is the arial view of Camp L'Arcada.
The vision.
The northwest region of Spain is known as Catalonia. The families speak Catalan in the home an to each other. There is no home field for Catalonia. There isn't a field in the entire country of Spain that was originally built for American Football. The vision is that this field will be the first, and the home field for Catalan American football.

Football in Spain
There are a few questions I'm asked every time I tell someone about the L'Arcada football ministry.
Yes, it is American Football. They don't want American's coaching on their futbol. Football is a niche sport in Spain. Those who do play are passionate about learning and being coached by American coaches.
Yes, they do play full go tackle football. Flag is popular as well but both men and women play full padded tackle football.
What is their level of ability? Ability is high but they are behind in skill. Many of the boys and coaches are new to the game. That is where we come in!

This is a HUGE deal in Spain. It doesn't happen there.
